Konradt "Rad" Bartlam is Lodi's city manager.

He was appointed to the position by the City Council on November 17, 2010 after a six-month stint as the interim manager. He had been Lodi's community development director for 11 of the previous 14 years.

Bartlam served as Lodi's community development director from 1996 to 2005, left for other professional opportunities, and returned on a part-time basis in 2008. He has 25 years of municipal planning experience, and most recently managed the comprehensive update to Lodi's General Plan, adopted on April 7, 2010.

The City Manager is responsible for:

• Overseeing all department heads
• Attending all City Council meetings
• Reviewing and approving all City Council meeting agendas and making policy recommendations to the City Council
• Coordinating communications to the public
• Partnering with the Lodi Unified School District to support and encourage ongoing joint facilities use
• Exploring new revenue sources to include business attractions, grants and fees
• Coordinating surveys and performance measures
• Promoting and coordinating special events

Jordan Ayers

Jordan Ayers has been the City of Lodi's Deputy City Manager/Internal Services Director since Dec. 15, 2008.

As Lodi's administrative second-in-command, Ayers oversees the City's Finance, Budget and Treasury, Information Systems and Human Resources departments.

Ayers came to Lodi after a 26-year career with Sacramento County. He was deputy director for administrative and business services within Sacramento County's General Services department before being hired by Lodi.

Ayers began his professional career with Sacramento County following his graduation from California State University, Sacramento, in 1982 with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.
