A new telephone hotline is available 24 hours a day for Lodi residents to report graffiti in the public view.
Calls to the City of Lodi hotline number, (209) 333-5570, are immediately forwarded to the graffiti abatement worker on duty. Calls made after 3 p.m. are placed in a queue for the next day's shift.
The Lodi Public Works Department abates graffiti visible to the public, except for vehicles, free of charge. Residents with vandalized property can provide paint to the Public Works Department, which otherwise will use an earth tone paint that offers the closest available match to the exterior surface.
Property owners must provide a release of liability before the city will perform graffiti abatement on private property. Owners may leave their contact information on the graffiti hotline, 333-5570.
Persons reporting graffiti are not required to leave contact information, but doing so may be helpful if the abatement specialist is unable to find the affected location.
