Rick Oakley, a former city manager for the cities of Adelanto and Placerville, will serve as Lodi’s Interim Deputy City Manager/Internal Services Director beginning July 22.
Oakley also has extensive experience in the private sector, having worked in the investment banking industry for several firms. He has served in interim capacities before, most recently as Barstow’s interim finance director. His public sector employment includes a stint as assistant city manager for Coronado.
“We’re pleased that someone with such a strong background in the public and private sector was available to help us until we find a permanent replacement,” Lodi City Manager Blair King said.
Lodi is currently recruiting a successor for Jim Krueger, who left after four years in Lodi for a public sector job in Idaho. The deputy city manager/internal services director oversees Lodi's finance, budget, personnel and information systems divisions. The city is accepting applications through Aug. 25.
