LOCAL TOUR PLANNED TO NEVADA'S MUSEUM OF ART
Arts Commission invites public to “Gogh See Art”
Lodi, Calif . (May 30, 2003) -- Nevada’s new Museum of Art (NMA) in
Reno is now holding its grand opening exhibition. The Lodi Arts
Commission invites the public to join them on a one-day tour on
Thursday, June 26th, to see the Diego Rivera and Twentieth Century
Mexican Art exhibit, as well as a special showing of 14 paintings and
drawings by Frida Kahlo.
The NMA is the last American venue to present the touring exhibition
which features works by artists such as Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente and
David Alfaro Siqueiros.
A chartered bus will transport participants to Reno where they will
be given a guided tour of the museum’s exhibit. Individual exploration
time of the new building will also be available.
EVENT DETAILS:
- WHERE: Meet at Hutchins Street Square Community
Center, 125 S. Hutchins Street, Lodi.
- WHEN: Thursday, June 26. Please arrive no later
than 7:15 a.m. – the bus will leave promptly at 7:30 a.m. and return
home at approximately 5:00 p.m.
- Limited tickets are available for $50 per person and may be
purchased through the City of Lodi’s Division of Arts & Culture at
333-5511, or on-line at www.lodiarts.org (a $5 service fee will be
applied to purchases on-line).
- Ticket price includes transportation, continental breakfast, box
lunch and admission to the museum.
